We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner who appreciates Transport & Logistics operations and wants to work in a fast-paced, challenging and team based environment. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and grow, but to also bring their own personality and energy to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with the driving team to ensure that customer service is always maintained.
  • Overseeing pallet network collections and deliveries.
  • Organising and planning distribution of multiple jobs through 3rd party hauliers.
  • Updating of computer and paper-based systems in relation to hire vehicles, recovery vehicles and salvage.
  • Undertaking regular checks to ensure recording systems remain up to date with regard to vehicle locations.
  • Managing hire vehicle damages in line with company procedures ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Ensure that fleet schedules are maintained, and de-fleeting vehicles are made available to the De-fleet Team as and when required.
  • Maintaining good customer relations with customers, repairers, claims office and referral sources alike.
  • Review cross hire usage in line with utilisation to ensure that kept to a minimum by sourcing the correct vehicles for the fleet.

About you:

  • An understanding of the Highway Code is essential for this role.
  • Experience in a transport planning role is essential.
  • Experience with pallet networks
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office applications)
  • Well organised and able to work within set time frames.
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments with an energetic and positive outlook to the setting.
  • Must be able to work weekends when required.
